Silver Medal for A Story of Irish Whiskey

We are thrilled with the awarding of the Silver Medal in the Best Podcast category for our production of ‘A Story of Irish Whiskey’ at the 2020 Digital Media Awards.

This series was released in 2019 and covered the 200 year history of Irish whiskey through dramatic re-enactments, fictionalised scripting, and numerous contributor interviews.

Working with Irish Distillers and Edelman Digital, LastCast Media produced the five-part series which was a chart-topping show on its release on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

A Story of Irish Whiskey nominated for Digital Media Award

A Story of Irish Whiskey, the five-part fictional re-telling about the history of Irish Whiskey across 200 years has been nominated in the Best Podcast category of the 2020 Digital Media Awards.

LastCast Media was also nominated in the the same category for the 2019 awards, receiving a Bronze award for its must-listen dairy farming show, The Dairy Edge.

A Story of Irish Whiskey was produced for Edelman and Irish Distillers during 2018-2019 and hit the top of the Apple podcast charts on its release.

Inaugural INM Reader Travel Awards Event

LastCast Media produced the audio and video content for the inaugural INM Reader Travel Awards at the Mansion House on January 17th, 2020.

Attended by over 300 people from the Irish travel industry, these awards are unique as they are voted on by the readers of the Irish Independent.

Sixteen awards were presented for the afternoon lunch ceremony with Pól O’Conghail and Sinead Ryan presenting.

Plans are already in place for the next awards in 2021.
